Alliance for Education’s mission is to help every child in Seattle Public Schools achieve academic success. The organization accomplishes this by securing seed capital for innovations in learning and fostering city-wide support for excellence in schools.

This is your chance to lead a dynamic and influential non-profit organization, guided by a 40-member board of directors. You will play a key role in advancing a vision of quality public schools and in building community support for the K-12 education system. As the President & CEO you will lead a 12-member staff of multi-talented professionals, manage a $5.5M budget, work with a diverse Board, while positively impacting the public education system.

We seek a visionary, inspirational, and charismatic leader who will bring a passion for public education, knowledge of successful reform policies and strategies, and highly developed leadership skills. The ideal candidate possesses significant experience and skill in public speaking, community and public relations.

The ideal candidate will possess at least 10 years of progressively responsible experience with significant time in leadership roles. S/He should possess demonstrated success with fund raising, board relations, and operations management, as well as communications to include public speaking, and community and public relations. A Bachelor’s degree is required, and an advanced degree is preferred. Candidates with a professional history that includes experience working with education reform policies are highly desirable.
