Senior Account Executive (Corporate/Consumer Division)

Job Description: This role requires the senior account executive to handle a number of projects at any one time, be able to respond quickly to the media, clients and/or team requests. The senior account executive will be a day-to-day client contact. They will clearly understand the team and client objectives and be proactive in and supportive at all times. The senior account executive will work to plan and manage key elements of campaign. The senior account executive will report to the Director of Public Relations.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as day-to-day contact with media and clients
- Research, understand and anticipate media/client/team needs; provide value and build relationships
- Proven ability to draft press materials, briefing materials without errors
- Demonstrate strong understanding and awareness of topical issues and apply to work
- Proactively anticipate and manage campaigns and issue that may arise. Seamlessly coordinate media requests and provide useful and strategic information
- Ability to consistently propose new ideas and strategies
- Proactively moderate media interviews and provide client with useful materials in advance, provide constructive feedback
- Develop and present PR plans that clarify business goals, situation analysis, challenges solutions, measurement criteria and fiscal planning
- Manage AC/AE or equivalent on team; reporting to Director of PR
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or above in communications, journalism or related field preferred
- Strong attention to detail
- Demonstrated understanding of strategic story-telling and successful story placement
- Has established media/analyst relationships (local, consumer, national a plus)
- Experience facilitating media interviews and a press tour
- At least 2 years managing a client relationship
- At least 1-2 years experience managing individuals or a team
- Strong ability to produce work under tight deadlines
- Developed, presented and executed PR plans
- At least 4 years PR experience within an agency environment
- Ability to successfully multi-task
- Excellent written and verbal communications
- Flexible attitude
- Likes to have fun
