Major Gifts Officer

Treehouse, an innovative agency serving children in foster care, is seeking a full time Major Gifts Officer to identify, cultivate, solicit and steward individual donors of $1,000 and above.  Develop, implement and analyze strategic, donor-centered plan for a comprehensive major gifts campaign to achieve contributed revenue objectives. Manage a portfolio of major gifts donors and prospects. Develop and implement a solicitation strategy for each major gift prospect. Coordinate the participation of volunteer and staff in major gifts fundraising activities. Personally solicit donors face-to-face. Oversee donor cultivation activities and events. Participate in creating a comprehensive planned giving program.

The ideal candidate for this position will have a Bachelor degree and at least three years of progressively responsible experience in development, with an emphasis on cultivating and personally soliciting major gifts, or equivalent relationship-building or sales experience. Candidate will have a proven track record of achieving fundraising or sales goals. Poised professional with strong interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively in writing, by phone and in person. Successful experience supervising and coaching staff.  Salary range $54,000 – $60,000. Benefits offered. Position open until filled.
