I love Thanksgiving. It's one of my favorite holidays. I love the food, the gathering of family and friends, even the endless football games. Most of all, I love the opportunity to say thank you, and reflect on the things for which I am most grateful.
Jan's pictureI love Thanksgiving. It's one of my favorite holidays. I love the food, the gathering of family and friends, even the endless football games. Most of all, I love the opportunity to say thank you, and reflect on the things for which I am most grateful.

This year, I have a lot to be thankful for. I'm thankful for the fact that I made it through the fall season on a broken foot which is now healed, and I didn't have to have surgery. I'm thankful for slightly lower gas prices, an improving economy, and the fact that a few of my unemployed friends have found jobs. I'm thankful I still have a job I love with a fabulous staff and wonderful volunteers who all make me look good.

If you're like me, this is the time of year your mailbox is beginning to overflow with requests for donations to non-profit organizations. Generally speaking, I give what I can, to those organizations I support. I know most of you do so as well. Non-profits depend on all of us to do our fair share, especially at this time of year.

That gives me another reason to be thankful - further in this newsletter you'll see a list of all the organizations and individuals who supported us in 2012-13. I am enormously grateful to everyone listed - LT could not accomplish its work without all of you. Thank you, many times over - I can't say it enough.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
