Public Works Director
The Public Works Director designs and leads all programmatic, educational, and artistic activities for the Public Works Seattle program. The Public Works Director’s primary responsibility is to cultivate partnerships that result in astonishing art, in so doing yield returns that continue beyond the time frame of any one program.
This role deepens relationships between SRT and the community in a number of ways, including modeling and promoting the mission and values of Public Works Seattle, envisioning and executing participatory artistic endeavors for the Seattle region while modeling PWS values of equity, imagination, and joy, and by cultivating excellent relationships and consistent communication with professional artists, internal staff, community partners, teaching artists, and related organizations. This role supervises all Public Works Seattle events both on and off-site; manages the Public Works budget; tracks participation and impact of programs; and works closely with the national Public Works cohort in service of our shared goals.
