Major Gift Officer
Seattle Colleges is recruiting for a Major Gifts Officer to support the Office of Advancement at Seattle Colleges Foundation.
The Major Gift Officer is a full-time exempt-represented position at the Seattle Colleges District Office.
Major Gift Officers assume a key role in the strategic development of major gift activities including identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of prospects and donors. Much of this work will be focused on campaign giving, in addition to continued cultivation and contacts with existing donors. The Seattle Colleges Foundation will be the focal point for raising the funds to provide two years of tuition-free college to graduates from Seattle public high schools.
This position works closely with Foundation leaders to secure funds for the organization by managing a group of assigned, qualified donors assuring that as many as possible are retained as continuing donors to the organization and are upgraded in their giving and involvement. Campaign donors will include foundations, corporations and individuals.
The Seattle Colleges serves metropolitan Seattle and its surrounding communities, and it composes the largest community college district in the state, educating 45,000 students each year. Students choose from an array of more than 135 academic and career technical programs, including nine applied baccalaureate degrees. Like the region, the colleges' population is dynamic. The student body is the most diverse in the Northwest, reflecting nearly 80 different languages spoken in homes throughout the city. By design, each of the colleges reflects its community.
Seattle Colleges Foundation Mission Statement: Engaging our community to transform lives, promote equity, and increase access to quality, affordable education on behalf of Seattle Colleges.
