SALARY RANGE: 1.0 FTE Exempt position at $60,000 to $65,000 annual salary.

CIS of Seattle is part of the largest national dropout prevention network and has been working with vulnerable youth in the Greater Seattle Community since 1998. Communities In Schools works directly inside schools, building relationships that empower students to succeed inside and outside the classroom.
JOB OPPORTUNITY: CIS of Seattle is seeking a Development Manager with experience in fundraising, donor cultivation and stewardship, is comfortable with ambiguity, can balance competing priorities in a fast-paced environment and is a team player. Candidate must believe in the tenants of equity, diversity and social justice, understand the intersection of race and poverty, and operate under the core principles of antiracism through their daily actions within our communities and with our staff and board members.
This position offers the opportunity to grow and diversify funding streams to ensure continued agency sustainability and expansion of services. CIS of Seattle has an operating budget of about $1 Million; the Development Manager is responsible for raising $250,000 annually. Fundraising at CIS of Seattle is under the “small shop” rubric (development team of one) and the Development Manager reports to the Executive Director. This position will have the support of the CIS of Washington network and have the opportunity to engage with other development professionals throughout the network.
