Facing Homelessness invites all of us to come closer, and to contribute our unique passions and skills toward the effort of ending homelessness. All of our campaigns and programs – from Just Say Hello to the Window of Kindness to The BLOCK Project – are entry points for community to get involved, experience empathy and relationship, and be a part of a loving movement.

What began as a passion project on social media nearly ten years ago has matured into a thriving nonprofit organization. We have experienced extraordinary growth in both programs and fundraising. We are seeking a community organizer and client advocate to join our small team and contribute to a fast-paced, exciting environment.

 About the Role

The Community Engagement Manager is the face of the organization for community members, clients, volunteers, and community partners. Programs and initiatives within the Community Engagement Manager’s purview include: The Window of Kindness, the Just Say Hello campaign, Facing Homelessness Orientation, Community Circles, Service Projects (such as trash pickup), and Client Resource Coordination.  Whether coaching community members to discover what getting involved means for them, meeting with a nonprofit agency to explore how we can better serve the community, or connecting with our neighbors living outside; the Community Engagement Manager thrives when they’re engaging and mobilizing others. The Community Engagement Manager is curious and inviting, and excels at setting boundaries, time management, and prioritization.

Full-time | Salaried $45,000 - $52,000 | Health + Retirement | Paid Time Off

Facing Homelessness Office Hours are typically Monday-Friday 9am-5pm. This position requires flexible hours including regular weekends and evenings.
