Leadership Tomorrow's Core 10-Month Program

Leadership Tomorrow’s core program is designed to build an in-depth knowledge of regional issues, explore strategies for positive change that cross sectors and silos, develop and practice leadership skills, and enhance participants’ commitment and ability to foster healthy communities. A key aspect of the program is exploring the ways in which addressing and eliminating racism is central to leadership in our region.

Through LT, you will explore:

• WHY we care about our community, including exploring Community Trusteeship and Servant Leadership as key approaches to being an effective civic leader;

• WHAT are the issues in our region, including the elements of a healthy community, how the three sectors work together and where you might get involved;

• HOW to demonstrate effective community leadership, using the Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership from the "Leadership Challenge." These practices include Model the Way, Inspire a Shared Vision, Challenge the Process, Enable Others to Act, and Encourage the Heart.

LT has exposed me to the most diverse, engaged, and committed group of people that I have met in my years in the Puget Sound region. They consistently inspire me to achieve more, while simultaneously serving as resources to help me do just that.
