Join Leadership Tomorrow for a creative and community-centered experience at Pottery Northwest. This hands-on clay workshop—designed as an affinity space for LT alumni who identify as Black, Indigenous, and People of Color—offers a welcoming environment to explore creativity, learn a new skill, and connect with peers.
Guided by Pottery Northwest instructors, participants will learn the fundamentals of clay work through a live demonstration followed by hands-on practice. Choose between two engaging options: try your hand at wheel throwing, where you’ll learn to center clay and shape simple forms, or create a mug using slab handbuilding techniques with opportunities for personalization and design.
No prior experience is needed. Just bring a good attitude and wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. After the workshop, stay for lunch and social hour to continue conversations.
Each participant may select one piece to be fired and kept, with pickup available in 4–6 weeks.
