LT Impact: Deepen Leadership Skills, Regional Knowledge, and Community with Lasting Impact

LT Impact is a leadership development program for mid- to senior-level leaders from the nonprofit, private, and public sectors across the Puget Sound region. Through a cohort-based experience, participants strengthen core leadership skills, build meaningful cross-sector relationships, and deepen their understanding of the region’s interconnected challenges and opportunities.

What You’ll Gain:

  • Build Integrated Leadership Skills: Develop leadership capacity across three integrated skill sets—understanding and managing yourself, using adaptive leadership practices to address complex challenges with others, and stewarding inclusion and belonging—so you can lead with curiosity and courage.

  • Build a Cross-Sector Network: Join a vibrant and growing community of leaders from diverse fields and create enduring relationships that extend beyond the program. Leadership Tomorrow’s robust alumni network opens doors to collaboration, mentorship, and a lasting community of peers committed to creating positive change in our community.

  • Deepen Regional Knowledge: Gain a deeper understanding of the interconnected challenges and opportunities that shape our region, and graduate inspired and prepared to contribute to a more equitable community through board service, public office, or your professional work.

  • Advance Racial Equity: Deepen your understanding of racial equity and antiracism, including how race and racism shape our lives, institutions, and regional challenges, and strengthen your adaptive leadership capacity to advance more inclusive and effective solutions.

  • Clarify Your Purpose-Driven Career Path: Reflect on your values, strengths, and areas for growth to gain clarity and purpose in your leadership journey. With new skills, deeper relationships, and a stronger equity lens, you’ll be positioned for continued growth, increased responsibility, and greater impact within your organization and community.

Alumni Testimonials:

It would not be an overstatement to say that Leadership Tomorrow completely changed my approach to leadership. …It meant a lot to see that leadership can come in any form and in any title (or lack thereof)—and that someone who looks like me can absolutely lead.
— Ruchika T. Malhotra, LT'16, Best-Selling Author of Inclusion on Purpose

LT helped me see how important it is to listen to the community most impacted by challenges as the one with the best insights into future opportunities that will work. I also developed a greater understanding for why partnerships between public, private, and nonprofit sectors are vital for addressing big problems like affordable housing, environmental justice, and public safety.
— Michaela Doelman, LT'22, State Chief Human Resources Officer, State of Washington

More than 20 years later, I still tap into my LT network... Not only did I learn during my LT year, I’ve stayed connected to LT in ways that help me to continue to learn, grow, and serve our community.
— Steve Dubiel, LT'01, Chief Executive Officer, Washington's National Park Fund
